According to his Twitter, Rob da Bank has let slip that Public Enemy are set to play Bestival 2011 which returns to Robin Hill Country Park, near Newport on the Isle Of Wight from 8-11 September.
The event curator said he let the news slip when speaking to Nemone on BBC 6Music.
He tweeted: “Oops just seem to have let it slip @BBC6Music that public enemy are comin to bestival as a festi exclusive”.
They will join a line-up that already boasts The Cure as headliners as well as Brian Wilson, Magnetic Man, Robyn, Crystal Castles and Primal Scream who will play ‘Screamadelica’.
DJ Shadow, Katy B, LFO, Omar Souleyman and Cranes will also play along with Boys Noize, Diplo, A Trak, Norman Jay and Grandmaster Flash.

Pulp, David Lynch, The Maccabees and Groove Armada presents Red Light are all rumoured to be appearing.
Organisers are set to announce the fancy dress theme for 2011 tomorrow.
Bestival 2011 tickets are on sale now priced at £160 for a weekend camping ticket, £150 for a student ticket and £80 for a 13-15 years weekend ticket.
Those 12 and under go free but must obtain a ticket, while campervan tickets are priced at £65.
