Pendulum to cover ‘The Final Countdown’ at Sonisphere

This is plucked from the Daily Star, so let's hope they said it tongue-in-cheek, but according to the tabloid, Pendulum are looking to cover 'The Final Countdown' at next weekend's Sonisphere Festival.

The Aussie rock drum n bassers, who will appear on the Sunday (1 August) will play homage to 80s hair rock group Europe with the cheeky cover.

Bassist Gareth McGrillen said: "I think it would be hilarious, [Europe] are going to be playing Sonisphere with us so hopefully they'll like that."

If that floats your boat, there are tickets still available for the metal weekender priced at £132.50. Alice Cooper, Iron Maiden and Rammstein will headline this year's Sonisphere Festival with Placebo, Sick Of It All, Evile, Renegades and Rise To Remain on the bill too alongside Motley Crue and Slayer.
