Patrick Wolf at Reading Festival 2011 - review. We want your reviews too!
Camper than anything pitched on the grounds today, Patrick Wolf takes to the Radio 1/NME Stage and stuns and soothes the crowd.
His unique sound and flamboyant stage presence are a welcome change of pace as the multi-instrumentalist provides a chance to possibly sit and take a breather amongst the more hectic bands atop the other stages.
During a beautiful and almost ethereal performance, Wolf discards instruments like most bands recycle members, switching from violin to harp to flute and not missing the chance to skip and dance from piano to drum.
It’s a captivating showing from a now festival veteran with fans and newcomers gently coerced into an appreciation, like subtle sexy whispers. A modern day Mark Almond blending electro and folk with much finesse.
