Oxegen honoured with Best Overseas Festival

For the second year running, Ireland's Oxegen Festival was honoured with the Best Overseas Festival prize at the UK Festival Awards.

Kings Of Leon, who headlined the event, also picked up a gong themselves. The group received Anthem of the Summer for their number one hit ‘Sex On Fire’.

Their singer Caleb Followill, however, lost out to Blur frontman Damon Albarn for the Festival Fitty Award.

Lily Allen was honoured with the same accolade but for the girls, while Spanish pop group La Casa Azul were named Virtual Festivals’ Critics’ Choice Award winners following their show at Indie Tracks festival.
