The final day of Reading Festival sees a host of sonic treats in the Nokia RAW Zone, with an air guitar competition and a visit from Engineers among the highlights.
Engineers Masterclass, 3.30pm
If you fancy meeting Engineers and finding out how they’ve got ahead in the music industry, get yourself down to the Nokia RAW tent for around 3pm. The first ten to arrive will be allowed into the session, which takes place in a private, soundproofed room. Expect some exclusive acoustic tracks, a bit of banter, and a few tried and tested tips for the top!
Air Guitar competition, 4.15pm
Tune up your air guitar arms and get down to Nokia RAW to enter Reading Festival’s first ever Air Guitar competition. Nokia staff are signing people up right now so get down their to reserve your place. Entrants will be split into heats, with groups performing on stage together. All you have to do is rock out hard to the likes of The Who, Queen, Nirvana, and many more. Impress the judges and you could win your heat and a place in the final with the eventual winner scooping two top of the range Nokia phones.
Throughout the day, you can also catch the usual blend of rock n’ roll thrills in the Nokia RAW tent, with the ‘Rock Up And Play’ sessions inviting young musicians to get on stage with the house band and crank out a favourite classic.
Two exciting new bands take to the stage later. Offshore will be on at 5.15pm with Youth Of Britain taking to the stage at 6.30pm. DJs Rock Da World and Moneyshot & Parker will be filling in the gaps and you can also testdrive some of Nokia’s latest, uber-cool mobile gadgets!
