Nina Kraviz and Simian Mobile Disco are amongst a new raft of acts announced today for Standon Calling 2013.
Russian deep-house upstart Nina Kraviz will headline the Audio Doughnuts stage, a platform designed to promo the best Afro dub, soul electrica, African-inspired electronica and bass sounds.
Simian Mobile Disco will also top their eclectic bill, which features in 2013 performances from Roy Davis Jnr, Tuesday Born, Two Inch Punch, Mêle, SOPHIE, Debian Black, Shox, Pusherman and a live set from Benin City.
Elsehwere Gilles Peterson, DJ Format and Greg Wilson lead the new additions, for a festival line-up already strong in number. De La Soul, Band of Skulls, and Digitalism headline the three day event which also involves King Charles, Bastille, AlunaGeorge, DJ Yoda and The Joy Formidable.
Standon Calling 2013 takes place at Standon, Hertfordshire from 2 – 4 August 2013.
The 2013 theme for Standon Calling is ‘Running away from the Circus’ and this year the festival will house an actual on-site circus with The Standon Calling Big Top showcasing live circus acts by day and a fantastic array of bands and DJs by night.
Standon Calling early bird tickets are available now, priced at £99 each, plus a £4.80 booking fee. Under 13’s go for free.
