New Order have announced they will be playing at Glastonbury, T In The Park and Oxegen - and have revealed how they saw a 'flying saucer' last time they were at Glasto. Haven't we all?
Singer Bernard Sumner told XFM: “We’re set to be playing all of the festivals this summer: We’re playing Glastonbury, T In The Park, one in Ireland (most likely Oxegen) and we’re just looking forward to playing the new album.
“Last time we played Glastonbury I threw a bottle of Pernod at my amplifier and it didn’t go down too well with the ambience of peace and love. I think we were banned for a short while, but maybe not. I actually saw a flying saucer last time I was there as well which was another interesting story…”
The band’s second single release from their forthcoming album ‘Waiting…’ features a guest vocal from Scissor Sisters‘ Ana Matronic, so perhaps some live collaborations could unfold depending on Scissor Sisters’ plans?
