Kendal Calling 2012 has announced a slew of new bands today (4 April).
We Are Scientists, The View, Tribes, VF Ones To Watch Spector, DJ Yoda and The Transiberian Marching Band, Ghostpoet, Benjamin Francis Leftwich, Swiss Lips, Toddla T, Mosca and DR/U/G/S are all new announcements for the event.
Also confirmed are Jaymo and Andy George, Toy, Lucy Rose, Rae Morris, King Charles, Ryan Keen and Juan Zelada.
Pete Roe, Jack Martello, Spring Offensive, Jake Evans (formerly of Bad Lieutenant), Extra Curricular, Beans on Toast, Random Impulse, Wonder Villains, Swiss Lips, Anothers Blood, Max Raptor, Hyde & Beast, Steve Smyth and Police Dog Hogan will all play this year too.
Local band The Mono LPs have also made the line-up, following an Internet campaign in which the band recorded a 1920s inspired song for the Kendal Calling directors.
Kendal Calling 2012 takes place from Friday 27 – Sunday 29 July at Lowther Deer Park, Hackthorpe, in East Cumbria, with eleven diverse stages and areas.
As previously reported, Maximo Park, Dizzee Rascal and James will headline the festival this year.

Kendal Calling adult weekend tickets are priced at £105, a child (11-14 years) weekend ticket at £50, and children under 11 can attend for free, but needed a ticket. Anyone under 17 must be accompanied by an adult.
Thursday early bird tickets are priced at £10 (only valid with a full weekend ticket).
