Nokia is offering rock-relishing festival goers the chance to pick up expert music tips from top live acts like Elbow, Yeti, and The Subways at this weekend's Reading and Leeds festivals.
Elbow‘s Guy Garvey, Yeti front man John Hassall and rising stars The Subways and Engineers will be among the big name artists appearing in the Nokia Raw Zone to give music masterclasses at both festivals.
The sessions will teach festival-goers everything from bashing out the perfect chord to filling their black book with music industry contacts.
Nokia is also offering aspiring musicians the chance to hit the Nokia Raw stage alongside the Foo Fighters, Iron Maiden and Pixies. Wannabe rockstars will be able to literally plug in and start jamming along, either solo or with the house band, as part of its ‘Rock Up And Play’ sessions.
Nokia’s own music entertainment television ‘Nokia TV’ will also be broadcasting live backstage interviews at both sites with the most talked about acts and offering ‘money can’t buy’ south-west-four-sw4-2009 to festival goers.
Jason Paris, Senior Marketing Manager, Nokia Mobile Phones UK said: “This year Nokia has already been at some of the biggest and best music events, giving people the chance to get closer to the music they love. Nokia Raw is about adding to the festival experience and allowing people to show off or simply brush up on their music talent.”
