Mumford & Sons have fans jigging round Bramham Park

Opening with the title track of potential album of the year 'Sigh No More', Mumford & Sons could scarcely believe the tent-bursting crowd that had gathered to hear their immense folk-rock. "You and Reading have been the two crowds of the summer for us," they tell us.

Mixing new songs such as 'Lover Of The Light' or relying on hit singles like 'Little Lion Man', it didn't seem to matter what they played – every genius track went down a storm with the revelers who had gathered for a jig.

'Winter Winds' was one of the finest chances this weekend to throw your hands in the air and let your vocal chords rumble, while 'The Cave' and 'Little Lion Man' proved such chaos that the band must surely win 'Most Surprising Crowdsurfer of the Weekend' as fans rode the wave of their accordion and violin-backed ballads.

Leeds Festival 2010 closes tonight (29 Aug) with Guns N' Roses on the main stage.
