More acts for Download ‘indie’ Friday

Biffy Clyro, Jimmy Eats World and JJ72 will play the main stage of Download on the newly added Friday - a day which aims to broaden the festival's scope with more mainstream rock acts.

Download organisers have not confirmed the news, but it was posted on Biffy Clyro‘s website. Apparently the Scottish art rockers will be sandwiched between JJ72 and Jimmy Eat World.

Black Sabbath, System Of A Down, Feeder, Velvet Revolver, Garbage, Slayer, Slipknot, Billy Idol and HIM are already confirmed to head up the bill.

Acts rumoured to be playing include Machine Head (recently voted best Download band of 2004 by the festival’s online community), as well as Arch Enemy, Panic Cell and Idlewild.

Download 2005 takes place at Donington Park, Leicestershire, between 10-12 June. CLICK HERE to buy tickets and for more info.
