Leonard Cohen confirms Glastonbury and Big Chill

Leonard Cohen has announced details of his first tour in 15 years, which will take in dates at Glastonbury, The Big Chill and Sziget festival.

The influential singer/songwriter will also perform at Benicassim in Spain (20 July) and in London's O2 Arena (17 July), as well as dates in Manchester (17-20 June) and Dublin (14 June).

The reclusive Candian has long been rumoured for Glastonbury Festival, where he is expected to headline the Jazz World on the Sunday night (29 June), but his addition to The Big Chill line up on Sunday, 3 August, is more of a surprise.

He was inducted into the Rock'N'Roll Hall Of Fame last night and will now test his status with an initial 37 dates worldwide. The tour begins in Toronto on 6 June and finishes in Viennna on 29 August. The dates in full are:
