Leeds fate will be decided next week

After the license application to stage this year's Leeds festival was rejected, organisers Mean Fiddler have lodged an appeal to Leeds Magistrate Court, which will decide whether or not the event can take place at its usual venue...

Melvin Benn, MD of Mean Fiddler said, on his hopes for success, “[fans] should  be feeling more optimistic than the Brazilian fans did about winning the World Cup!”.

He added that the appeal would probably last about half a day, and that even if they didn’t get the judgement that they hoped for, they would take the issue to the Crown court.

Failing this, they would look to stage the Festival in an alternative venue within a sixty to seventy mile radius of the original Temple Newsam Park site.

We will keep you posted.
