Korn and Velvet Revolver for Download

Korn and Velvet Revolver are among six new acts confirmed for Download. Korn singer Jonathan Davis was forced to pull out of last year's festival due to illness, but has promised to make up for his absence this time round...

Other acts just confirmed are Lamb Of God, Dragon Force, Devlidriver and Dimmu Borgir.

Korn?s Download 2006 set saw vocalists from Ten Years, DevilDriver, Skindred, Stone Sour and Trivium fill the breach when Jonathan Davis was taken ill at the eleventh hour. Determined to give the performance the fans were waiting for last year, Korn have been confirmed for a return visit.
Jonathan Davis explains: "I am so looking forward to coming to the Download Festival this year. I was heartbroken to pull out last time. So this time I am very happy to be coming back and we promise to rock the place! I will definitely make-up for missing the last one. You can expect an amazing Korn show!"

Velver Revolver return to Download after warming up for headliners Black Sabbath at the 2005 festival. Rumours of a full Guns'N'Roses reunion have persisted ever since, buoyed by last year's headline set by the Axl Rose fronted incarnation.
