Rumours abound that Kings Of Leon will make a third consecutive appearance at Glastonbury, after gaps were left in their latest UK tour schedule on the Friday or Saturday of the festival.
However, despite internet whispers circulating around chat rooms and fan forums, it seems unlikely the Kings will play a near-unprecedented third year running.
Glastonbury Festival organisers prefer not to book bands two years in a row, let alone three – although recently that trend seems to be fading.
It would be difficult for bookers to put the US band any further down the bill than they were last year – or any higher up. In 2004 they warmed up for Oasis on the Friday night. The year before they performed the New Bands Tent.
But whether they appear at Glastonbury or not, expect to see Kings Of Leon play at least one major UK festival this summer – with Reading/Leeds Festival the most likely.
