Download Festival have announced six new bands for their 2012 line-up, including Killswitch Engage and Nightwish.

Killswitch Engage, NOFX, Black Veil Brides, Opeth, Shinedown and Nightwish have all been confirmed for the Download Festival line-up.

The new additions join headliners The Prodigy, Black Sabbath and Metallica, as well as Chase & Status, Biffy Clyro, Tenacious D, You Me At Six, Soundgarden and many others.

Killswitch Engage recently parted with vocalist Howard Jones and confirmed on the 9th of February that original vocalist Jesse Leach was to rejoin the band.

Download Festival day tickets go on sale tomorrow morning (Feb 16) at 9am and will be priced at £75 for each day.

Download Festival weekend tickets are still available, priced at £180 with camping for three nights or £190 for five nights camping. A weekend only ticket without camping is £145. Lockers, car parking and VIP packages are available at additional costs.
