Kendal Calling 2011 sells out in record time

Kendal Calling 2011 tickets have sold out in record time, with all the passes snapped up by fans wanting to see sets from Chase & Status, The Cribs, Blondie, House of Pain and many more.

The festival will return to Lowther Deer Park, Hackthorpe in the Lake District from 29-31 July.

Organisers are reminding ticket buyers purchasing tickets through the deposit scheme to pay for their ticket before Wednesday 1 June to secure their pass.

For those still looking to attend, there will be a limited number of tickets resold at 9am on Friday 3 June.

Hugh Cornwell and Vintage Trouble have been added to the line-up, while new names for the Glow Dance Stage include Krafty Kuts, Caspa, Breakage, Artwork, MC Rod Azlan, Kito, Shaolin Monkey, Glover and Hourglass.

Ben Robinson, director of Kendal Calling said: “It’s a huge compliment to all those involved that so many of you have got your tickets so early and are warming up for a weekend of country style fun and frolics.

We still have more acts and all the attractions apart from the music to announce before we see you in the fields too.”
