K bands kiss goodbye to debut albums at Reading

The Killers and Kasabian have both used their performances at Reading today as poignant send-offs for their debut albums - their last live appearances before both bands hit the studio to record their follow-ups.

Performing on the main stage before headliners The Pixies, The Killers aired new song ‘All The Pretty Faces’ (which they had debuted at Glastonbury) – the only hint at what we can expect from them in future.

The bulk of the set was from first album Hot Fuss, with the glorious trio of festival anthems Mr Brightside, Somebody Told Me and All These Things That Ive Done provoking a typically frenzied response from the high spirited Reading crowd.
