Another big name announced in advance of the V2002 gatherings at Chelmsford and Staffordshire.
[l-zone1]Mo’wax head-case James Lavelle has been added to the V2002 Dance tent bill for Chelmsford and Staffordshire.
The now much-maligned ‘triphop’ genre owes a thing or two to the man from U.N.K.L.E. – not to be confused with the seminal 60’s TV classic of course… this one is the collaborative work that brought in DJ Shadow and vocal contributions from the likes of Thom Yorke, Richard Ashcroft and Ian Brown. Alongside Lavelle, U.N.K.L.E. is also Tim Goldsworthy (Lavelle’s childhood friend) and Japanese producer Kudo.
Hiphop, funk, old skool classics and jazz are the most likely offerings from the Lavelle turntables.
