Jackass star Steve-O will make his stand-up debut at Sonisphere, headlining the Bohemia stage, with Andrew O'Neill, Bob Slayer, Jason John Whitehead, Jason Rouse and Jim Breuer also set to perform over the weekend.
This comes with the news that Bill Bailey has been confirmed to play Sonisphere this morning (28 March).
The story broke on Friday, as we reported that a video posted and then removed from NME’s website had shown Sonisphere’s Stuart Galbraith discussing the booking, calling it “the biggest ever live comedy show at a UK Rock festival.”
Bailey had promised to confirm via his Twitter account, and did so over the weekend, saying: “Sonisphere is on. Sunday night, on the Saturn stage, I will attempt to rock as I have never before, just before Slipknot.”
Kiwi comedian Jarred Christmas, as seen on Mock The week, will compere the comedy on Saturday.
Sonisphere 2011 returns to Knebworth House, Hertfordshire from 8-10 July.
Biffy Clyro, Slipknot, and for the first time together on British soil, ‘the Big Four’ – Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax will be headlining the festival.
Guest ticket holders get to camp in the exclusive guest camping site with separate loos, and to access the hospitality bar, where the festival’s music industry guests rub shoulders.
