Isle of Wight Festival, held from 9-12 June at Seaclose Park, is set to celebrate its tenth anniversary by hosting an urban beach.
Tonnes of sand are being delivered to Penny Lane on the festival site, where there’ll be deckchairs, beach huts, exercise classes, fire jugglers and beach yoga, plus live music and DJs.
Presented by Boxfresh, the new area will be a place to relax and unwind in between sets by headliners Kings of Leon, Foo Fighters and Kasabian.
Beady Eye, Hurts, The Vaccines and Plan B are also set to perform.
Matt Winton, Boxfresh Marketing Manager, said: “We are very proud to be a partner of the Isle of Wight Festival 2011, we believe that it is an outstanding UK festival, combining an incredible line-up, unique atmosphere and the picturesque surroundings of the Isle of Wight.”
Tickets for the festival have sold out, but there are still some available through secondary ticketing agent Viagogo, starting at £169.
At viagogo, every transaction is guaranteed and they say they won’t sell a ticket that they don’t have.
