John Hawkins, of Fake Tan, the company promoting the event on the Island, said the decision to once again issue early bird tickets was to thank people living on the island for their previous support for the festival.
He said: “Though details of the line-up have yet to be announced, the experience of the last few years shows us the Nokia Isle Of Wight Festival is a wicked festival in a great location that attracts top, top acts.
“We are confident of the success of the 2005 event and that it will sell out. This is a chance for Island people to make sure they do not miss out and at a bargain price.”
The early bird tickets are £60 for the weekend, £75 with camping. There is a £3 booking fee per ticket. They will be available from HMV in Newport, Wightlink and Red Funnel.
