The Isle Of Wight Festival 2012 dates have been confirmed as 22-24 June, as organisers move the timing of the event to avoid travel problems due to the Golden Jubilee and half term holidays.
Organisers have also confirmed that a presale of Isle Of Wight Festival tickets will start on Friday 30 September at 12 noon for two weeks.
John Giddings, Festival Promoter, said: “We have been advised by the ferry companies that to run the same week as half term and the Jubilee would be problematic for our audience and production infrastructure.
“We have therefore taken the executive decision to move, for one year only, to 22/23/24th June 2012 to ensure a smooth journey for everyone and to get the entire infrastructure on and off the island.”
Festival chiefs have also confirmed that a payment plan will be available for Isle Of Wight Festival 2012 tickets, but only for tickets purchased during the presale period.
Red Funnel will be selling ticket and ferry packages from the 30 September at 2011 ticket prices with early bird ferry rates.
