Iron Maiden, Rammstein to headline Sonisphere?

With a Sonisphere announcement expected at 6pm tonight (Wednesday), Thrash Hits look like they've gone and ruined the party by leaking the headliners early.

The website has picked up on a article on Iron Maiden’s official homepage, which reads "Watch This Space – December 9 – 6GMT", and suggested that the news will confirm they’re headlining the Knebworth event.

Thrash Hits have also revealed that according to a very reliable source Rammstein will be revealed as headliners too.

Using a bit of guess work the site goes on to suggest Slayer will also play next year as well as fuelling rumours of appearances from Marliyn Manson and Fear Factory.

Organisers are yet to confirm or deny any of the rumours, but following tickets going on sale for Sonisphere Poland this morning, metal and rock fans can expect the same for the UK leg this evening.

Check back for full details of the any festival announcement later on and hopefully a ticket link.

Sonisphere 2010
will take place at Knebworth House, expanding to three days, from 30 July to 1 August.
