Several new bands have just been added to the bill of world's most northerly music festival, complimenting an already impressive line-up which includes Keane, The Stills and Radio 4.
[r-zone1]Event organisers have just announced the addition of 19 new acts, including Four Tet, London Elektricity, Non Phixion, Rocco Rot, and Iceland’s own Worm Is Green.
The Iceland Airwaves 2004 festival takes place in Reykjavik, across several clubs and venues, betweeen 20-24 October.
[l-zone2]The festival has firmly established itself over the last six years with perfomances by some of Iceland’s finest, including a candle-lit church performance by Sigur Ros and an appearance by Gus Gus in an old aerodrome.
[r-zone3]Suede, The Flaming Lips, The Hives, and Fatboy Slim have also all made the short hop over from Europe or America to share the stage with Iceland’s home-grown talent.
Minus, one of the country’s best up-and-coming bands and Kerrang night headliners at Airwaves, have also been confirmed to open the main stages for the Reading/Leeds Carling Weekender on the Sunday and Friday respectively.
