Fatboy Slim and Biffy CLyro are among the acts set to play Ibiza Rocks 2011 and Mallorca Rocks 2011 when both events return to Spain this summer.
Friendly Fires, Tinie Tempah and The Vaccines will join Plan B, who will open the festivals, while Dizzee Rascal, Chase And Status and Example are set to appear as well.
The Wombats, Magnetic Man and Madness have been added to an eclectic bill alongside Brother, Labrinth, Sub Focus, Katy B and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs.
DJ Doorly has been named as the resident mixologist for the festivals while Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe has been unveiled as the Music Director for the ‘Rocks’ brand.
Lowe will DJ at the same show as The Vaccines.
Zane Lowe, Music Director, ‘Rocks’ Brand said: “I DJ-ed at the first ever Ibiza Rocks event and have been a supporter ever since, so it’s great to make it official. It’s exciting, ambitious and totally in tune. The energy is inexplicable and it’s drawn me back year on year. Playing the opening of Mallorca Rocks last year was one of my best gigs to date and I’m delighted to be asked to be a bigger part of the events and the programming this year. Business as usual then. See you in the summer.”
