Our long-awaited summer could hit its peak on the August Bank Holiday Weekend, according to forecasters.
Weathermen are predicting scorching temperatures for festivals like Creamfields and the Carling Weekend as the wettest summer on record finally runs out of rain.
Temperatures are tipped to nudge the thirties, with the hot weather offering respite from the mud baths that have plagued this year's festivals.
Andrew Bond from Metcheck said: “Azores high is finally nudging north bringing dry, sunny and hot weather to the UK. After all the washout festivals this summer, events like Creamfield looks set to bring the summer back with style.”
The weather this weekend, at least, is expected to be generally dry across the UK with festivals like The Big Chill and Electric Gardens enjoying long spells of sunshine and minimal rain.
