Guess the 2012 Sonisphere Festival headliners to win VIP tickets!
Think you know your Goth from your Glam, your Cooper from your Crimson?
Every rock fan in the country will be vying for a ticket to one of the leading rock and alterative weekends next summer, Sonisphere 2012. This year fans were treated to some record breaking shows, the very first performance from the Big Four on UK soil as Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax took to the main stage Friday night. Biffy Clyro reigned over the main stage on Saturday night and Sunday marked an emotional return to the UK for Slipknot after the tragic loss of bassist Paul Gray last year.
Limp Bizkit, Weezer, The Mars Volta, and even comedy-legend Bill Bailey made appearances, but the question remains who will headline next summer’s event at Knebworth House?
Sonisphere 2012 will take place at Knebworth House from 6-8th July 2012.
We’re not looking for the days the headliners will play, just guess as many of the correct headlining acts as possible, and when the headliners are announced the person who has guessed the most correctly will win a pair of VIP tickets to that festival. If two or more people have guessed the same number of right acts then a winner will be drawn at random.
Over the next six weeks we’ll be running headliner south-west-four-sw4-2009 for the biggest dates in the UK festival calendar, including T In The Park, Bestival, Latitude, Creamfields, and The Big Chill.
Sonisphere was formed in 2009 based on the idea of touring a metal and rock line up through festival dates in Europe. Metallica, Linkin Park and Slipknot became the core acts of the initial tour which took in shows in Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Finland and finally Knebworth House in the UK.
Since that initial tour Iron Maiden, Rammstein, Faith No More and My Chemical Romance have all graced the Sonisphere stage across Europe – but who will headline the three nights at the legendary Knebworth House next July?
Plenty of rumours are circulating as to the headliners of Sonisphere 2012, but organisers remained tight-lipped as to who has or hasn’t been booked for the fourth installment of the UK leg of the music festival.
