Headliners announced for Cornbury Festival

Scouting For Girls and Sugababes have been confirmed as headliners for this year's Cornbury Music Festival.

Texas singer Sharleen Spiteri will perform her solo stuff on the Saturday (11 July) of the festival alongside The Magic Numbers, Dodgy, The Boy Least Likely To and Relay.

The Pretenders and Joe Jackson are set for the main stage on the Sunday (12 July), along with Imelda May, Ava Leigh and Laura And The Tears.

Elsewhere on the second stage there will be performances from The Damned, Teddy Thompson, The Shortwave Set, I Am Kloot, Peatbog Fairies, Mary Coughlan and Eddi Reader.

3 Daft Monkeys, Coute Diomboulou, Amy Lavere and Kingsize 5 are also set for the tent, along with Love Trousers and Stornoway.

Cornbury Music Festival 2009
will take place at Cornbury Park, Oxfordshire from 11-12 July.

Cornbury is a small family-friendly festival that which boasts everything from folk and rock to world music and blues as well as a well-stocked bar with a wide selection of beers, ales, ciders, champagnes and wines on sale.

The festival will also have street performers, children's entertainment, workshops and a fairground to keep kids of all ages amused, even the adults.

Hot air balloons are also available, but these must be booked beforehand
