UPDATED: Gnarls Barkely have been forced to pull their performance at this weekend's Creamfields festival in Liverpool, leaving organisers in a race against time to find a possible replacement...
Gnarls Barkely were due to play an early evening performance on Creamfield's Live Stage tomorrow.
However, the band have been forced to pull out because singer Cee Leo has problems with his voice. The dance/soul duo have also had to cancel four other live dates.
Cee Leo's vocal chords have finally given out following months of festival touring, which started with Coachella back in May. The band last played a UK festival at Wireless Festival in June.
Creamfields organisers are now looking for a last minute replacement, however Gill Nightingale from Cream told VF: "It's going to be difficult with just 24 hours until show time, but we're doing our best."
A full statement from the Gnarls Barkley's management read: "With great regret, Gnarls Barkely have had to cancel their appearance at this weekend's Creamfields festival at the last moment. Due to non-stop performances for the last three months, Cee-Lo has put a great strain on his vocal chords and has been advised to cancel his next five shows or risk having more extensive problems. The band are still due to return to the UK in November for a series of radio and television appearances, and it's hoped that these can still go ahead. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope to make up these five dates ASAP."
Despite the set-back, Creamfields still boasts a cracking lineup with the likes of The Prodigy, Goldfrapp and The Zutons taking to the Live Stage at it's new home in Darebury, Cheshire.
And anyway, aren't you sick of 'Crazy' by now?!
