Glastonbury Festival opened its third Emerging Talent competition in October 2006, looking for new talent to play on some of the festival's biggest stages.

Four winners will take to either the John Peel Stage, the Acoustic Stage, the JazzWorld Stage or the Dance Village when the festival kicks off on 22 June.

All 24 unsigned acts will be performing live in front of a panel of judges, including Michael Eavis, at a secret venue in Somerset between 22-24 March.

In addition to the category winners, one overall winner will be awarded a slot on the Other Stage at the festival, plus a BBC Radio One recording session at their Maida Vale studios.
