Glade festival seeking new home for 2009

The organisers of the Glade festival are currently scouring the country to find a new home for 2009's event and beyond, after five years at its home on the Wasing Estate in Berkshire.

Due to restrictions set by Berkshire Council, Glade have chosen to look for a new site which will enable them to keep sound levels to a maximum.

So far the organisers have viewed several sites nationwide and are drawing up a short list of suitable locations, after scooping Best Dance Festival at the UK Festival Awards.

Their main objective is to find a space that is as appealing as Wasing Estate, with great transport links, less restrictions on noise, and of course, be able to accommodate those July dates.

Organiser Nick Ladd said: "Wasing has been a great home for us for our first five years, but as part of the natural evolution of Glade we have decided to find another beautiful bit of England, in particular somewhere where we can run it later on all nights including Sunday and make some proper noise!"

In addition to a new site, the Glade will be introducing some stomping new areas for 2009 which will be revealed at a later date. Line-up confirmations will also be announced early next year.

Tickets are on sale now for £125 HERE, which is the same as this year's price.
