Imperial Leisure, Tellison and Tall Ships head up the first acts for the 2000trees festival 2012 line-up.

Straight Lines and The Cape of Good Hope will also appear with many more to be confirmed in the coming months.

Founder Andy Rea said: “This is a cracking line-up of bands that have already played storming sets at 2000trees, so they are back by popular demand and we are delighted.

“They will be joined by a very special headliner – we’re just finalising the contract as we speak and we’ll announce details as soon as we can.”

2000trees festival 2012 tickets are on sale now with the music festival to return to Upcote Farm, near Cheltenham from 13-14 July.

Those to appear on the 2000trees festival line-up in the past include Frank Turner, Dan le Sac v Scroobius Pip, Bombay Bicycle Club, Los Campesinos!, Pulled Apart By Horses, Tribes, Frightened Rabbit and The Subways.

Around 5,000 music lovers are expected for a weekend of the country’s finest indie, acoustic, folk, hardcore and post-rock plus a sprinkle of other genres and smattering of musical surprises.
