Festival Republic chief set for African charity bike ride

Festival Republic chief, Melvin Benn, is set to undertake a 435km charity bike ride in Africa called Making Tracks.

The man behind Reading, Leeds and Latitude festivals is part of a 50-strong team of riders hoping to raise £100,000 cash for projects in Kenya.

Half the amount has already been raised, reports the NME.

Festival Republic, along with Kenyan Orphan Project and One Water, have already teamed up to buy two fresh water pumps in the area.
