Glastonbury Festival organiser Michael Eavis has said that he 'hopes' The Libertines will play the event this summer.
The band, who reformed for Reading and Leeds Festivals last summer, are rumoured to be appearing at the festival, which takes place at Worthy Farm, Pilton in Somerset from 22-26 June.
When asked about having the group play the festival, Michael Eavis said: “I hope they will,” adding, ”Fingers crossed.”
U2, Coldplay and Beyonce have now been confirmed as headliners for the 2011 edition of the event.
There are plenty of self-confirmations and rumours still circulating the internet, including The Coral, Clare Maguire, Hurts, Fatboy Slim, Jessie J and many more.
