To a full house at AboveAudio, folk-rock newcomers Dry The River brought an impassioned show of musical diversity and diligence The Great Escape 2011.
Welcoming the first few acts to the Brighton bash, the group hit the hard and soft notes at the seaside venue, just metres from Brighton Pier.
It was a three pronged vocal assault, featuring rhythm guitarist Matt Taylor dressed in a t-shirt of NY hardcore heroes The Bronx.
“Its fun to play a show for breakfast,” bassist Scott Miller joked before breaking into debut single ‘New Ceremony’.
The band are set to release their debut album later this year.
The band play again The Prince Albert at 10.15pm tonight (Thursday).
