Dizzee to take Glastonbury top spot if U2 pull out?

The tabloids have been busy with their Glastonbury Festival news this weekend with The Sun suggesting that Dizzee Rascal may take U2's headline slot if frontman Bono hasn't recovered from surgery.

The Mercury Prize winner was due to play the penultimate show on the Pyramid Stage on the Friday (25 June) but he may have to close the opening night instead after the Irish singer underwent an emergency procedure on his back.

Michael Eavis has apparently also approached Coldplay to offer them the slot.

In other Glastonbury news, The Daily Star, have also picked up on the news that Lily Allen might make a guest appearance at this June’s festival, playing with Professor Green.

She looks most likely to join the rapper on stage to sing with him on his latest single ‘Just Good To Be Green’. He told the paper: “I’m hoping Lily will come out and join me at Glasto but you didn’t hear that from me. It really depends what state she’s in, as I’m performing on the Sunday."

Muse and Stevie Wonder will headline this year’s event with The King Blues, Pet Shop Boys, MGMT, Groove Armada, Ash, The Flaming Lips and loads more also playing over a host of diverse stages.

Glastonbury Festival 2010 will take place at Worthy Farm, Pilton in Somerset from 23-27 June.

Glastonbury Festival 2010 is completely sold out.
