Dizzee Rascal is among the first names for this year's BBC Electric Proms.
The rapper will perform a full-length show backed by a live band and 16 piece string section from the Heritage Orchestra on 21 October at London’s Roundhouse.
Smokey Robinson will be joined by the BBC Concert Orchestra to perform some of his most legendary tracks on 24 October at the Roundhouse while Doves will appear with the London Bulgarian Choir at the same venue on 22 October.
Tickets for these shows are priced as follows:
Smokey Robinson – £25
Doves – £20
Dizzee Rascal – £20
Passes will be available from tomorrow (Wednesday) at 8am.
Florence And The Machine and Metronomy have also been confirmed for the BBC Electric Proms 2009. Both will play the Studio Theatre on 22 October alongside some BBC New Music Shorts films which were inspired by tracks from both of the artists.
