Dr Dee, an operatic project created by Damon Albarn and Rufus Norris, will be the headline act at Honeyfest 2012 in Wiltshire this April.
The sophomore Honeyfest event will take place in a secret rural location deep in Wiltshire on Saturday 14 April.
Dr Dee features modern and Renaissance sounds, West African rhythm and the vocals of Damon Albarn. It charts the fall from grace of one of the most charismatic figures of the Elizabethan age, from influential courtier, polymath mathematician, astrologer and spy to his death in poverty, disgrace and isolation.
Dr Dee join Dry the River, Raghu Dixit, Nick Harper, Cut a Shine, and Kidnap Alice, who have already been announced for the Honeyfest line up.
Honeyfest was organised to support the Barge Inn Community Project last year and was helped with a grant from the Big Lottery Fund (BIG). The project also received funding as part of Village SOS – a scheme to inspire rural regeneration across the UK.
Honeyfest tickets are priced at £39 with parking an additional £5.
