Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd September 2007 are the dates, Inveraray Castle on Loch Fyne is the location, of what promises to be a spectacular new festival arriving in Scotland next year - and that's just the scenery.
Seemingly pitched at the booming sector of older, more affluent festival-goers associated with events like Latitude, the 2 day inaugural event will see up to 20,000 people come together to watch an eclectic mix of internationally acclaimed artists across several stages, with a range of boutique camping options including tee pees and PodPads providing added 'comfort' plus an extensive transport network linking all areas of Scotland, including the central belt, by road, air and even sea.
Geoff Ellis, CEO of DF Concerts, who also run T in the Park, tells us, “We’re delighted to be able to confirm Connect’s location today in one of the most beautiful settings I’ve ever seen and are very much looking forward to working with the Duke of Argyll and his team at Inveraray Castle to deliver what will be a truly unique event not just for Scotland but for the UK as a whole.
“DF Concerts promote a wide range of outdoor events throughout the year and we’re proud to be adding Connect to our award-winning programme. With ticket information, artists and attractions still to be unveiled over the coming months this is just the start of Connect’s journey and it’s one that we’re all incredibly excited about making.”
Stay posted to VF for more information on Connect, including full line-up details and rumours, over the coming weeks.
