Coldplay preparing huge visual treat for Glastonbury 2011

Insider sources reveal stadium rock boys Coldplay have a visual spectacular in store for their headline set on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury 2011 tonight.

One crew member told us the band have set up three projectors to project visuals images onto the side of the Pyramid Stage, which is the first time anything like that’s ever been done.

Coldplay last headlined in 2005 and are expected to debut material from their forthcoming as-yet-untitled fifth album, including their latest single ‘Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall’.

BBC will be broadcasting the performance live on BBC2 and BBC HD from 10.15pm and the show will make history as the first Glastonbury performance to be broadcast in full in the US.

U2, Radiohead, Primal Scream and Morrissey all played through a wet and windy Friday evening at Glastonbury Festival 2011, while The Chemical Brothers, Pulp and Elbow all perform this evening.
