Chems Take On Turnmills This Saturday

The original Superstar DJs are back in London for one night only!

The Chemical Brothers present Glint at Turnmills on Saturday 6th September. The band has decided to throw another in their series of occasional parties to mark 10 years of the band and the release of their new album, ‘Singles 93-03’.

The collection will feature two brand new tracks – ‘their collaboration with The Flaming Lips, ‘The Golden Path’, which will be released as a single to follow Glint on Monday 15th September; and ‘Get Yourself High’ featuring Canadian rapper K-OS. Plus there’ll be singles taken from ‘Exit Planet Dust’, ‘Dig Your Own Hole’, ‘Surrender’, ‘Come With Us’ and various EP’s. A limited version of the album will include a second CD featuring rare and unreleased tracks, whilst the DVD will feature extensive live footage and videos made by directors such as Spike Jonze and Michel Gondry.

The Chemical Brothers rewrote the Turnmills history books at their last Glint event back in December 2002, when their Christmas gig sold out three weeks prior to the party! Tickets for the next Glint are on sale now and although the Chem’s will be appearing at Creamfields later on this summer, Glint is their only UK club date.

“We’re throwing a ten year of the Chemical Brothers party at one of our favourite places with some of our favourite DJs . Reach for the lazers, all are welcome!”

The Chemical Brothers will be being joined on the night by one of their early inspirations coming all the way down from Manchester, Moonboots – a man who first met Tom and Ed whilst working behind the counter of Eastern Bloc records, plus bar and grill man Frank Tope and his magic fingers. Butch Cassidy (The Platinum Finger, Vibes FM 93.8) and the Sunblest Kids will take control of Anexo; whilst Glint resident Nathan Detroit stokes it up prior to Tom and Ed the main room.

Tom and Ed are currently beavering away on a new studio album (which is expected late 2004), but if you can’t wait till then, you can expect the boys to road test some new material at Glint in September. We can’t wait.
