Caribou and many more announced for NOS Primavera Sound 2015

A huge heap of names have been newly announced for the Portuguese edition of Primavera Sound this June.

NOS Primavera Sound, a little sister to Primavera Sound Barcelona, will feature three days of live music programming in Parque da Cidade, Porto.

Parque da Cidade is Portugal’s largest urban park (83 hectares), located by the sea and perfectly framed within the city, easily accessible by public transport. Porto is the second biggest city in Portugal and will host its fourth edition of NOS Primavera Sound this June.

Caribou, Antony and the Johnsons, Ride, The Replacements, Run The Jewels, Interpol, Damien Rice, Death Cab For Cutie, Shellac, Patti Smith & Band perform Horses, Mac DeMarco and Spiritualized are among the first acts announced for the festival.

NOS Primavera Sound 2015 takes place from Thursday 4 – Saturday 6 June, 2015.

More acts are still to be announced for the NOS Primavera Sound line-up, which currently looks like this:

Thursday 4 June: Bruno Pernadas, Caribou, FKA twigs, Interpol, The Juan MacLean (live), Mac DeMarco, Mikal Cronin, and Patti Smith acoustic/spoken.

Friday 5 June: Antony and the Johnsons, Ariel Pink, Banda do Mar, Belle & Sebastian, Electric Wizard, Giant Sand, José González JUNGLE, Marc Piñol, Movement, Pallbearer, Patti Smith & Band perform Horses, The Replacements, Run The Jewels, Spiritualized, Sun Kil Moon, Twerps, Viet Cong, Yasmine Hamdan, and Younghusband.

Saturday 6 June: Babes In Toyland, Baxter Dury, Damien Rice, Dan Deacon, Death Cab For Cutie, Einstürzende Neubauten, Ex Hex, Foxygen, HEALTH, Kevin Morby, The KVB, Manel Cruz, The New Pornographers, Ought, Pharmakon, Ride, Roman Flügel, Shellac, The Thurston Moore Band, Underworld dubnobasswithmyheadman live, and Xylouris White.

NOS Primavera Sound tickets are on sale now, priced at 90 EUR (approximately £67) for a weekend plus 4.50 EUR booking fee. Please note the festival ticket does not include camping.

Children up to and including 9 years old will be able to enter the festival for free whenever accompanied by parents or guardians. Children between 10 and 15 years old can enter the festival by paying full ticket price and must also be accompanied by parents or guardians. Guardians must carry the documentation that identifies them as such.
