Kendal Calling, nominated for 'Best Grass Roots Festival' and 'Best Small Festival' at 2009 UK Festival Awards, has today (Wednesday) announced Calvin Harris will headline the event.
The Scottish producer, famed for tracks like ‘Acceptable In The 80s’ and ‘Ready For The Weekend’ will top the bill on the Friday (10 August) night.
Festival favourites Wild Beasts, Sunderland’s finest The Futureheads, OK Go and Dub Pistols will also be performing on the main stage.
There are also a number of top notch DJs announced who are guaranteed to get the crowd moving with sets from Erol Alkan, DJ Yoda, Scratch Perverts, High Contrast and Elite Force pencilled in over the weekend.
Justin Robertson, Danny Byrd and Doorly will also hit the ones and twos alongside Eskimo Twins and Emalkay.
Also on board are DJ collective People Get Real, Rich Reason, Ken Evil and Ash Howell.
Tickets are on sale now priced at £65 for an early bird weekend ticket, before they rise to £85 for general release.

Kendal Calling 2010 will take place at Lowther Deer Park, Hackthorpe in the Lake District from 9-12 September.
