Last-minute Bestival 2011 tickets are becoming available at face value.
“Ethical ticket exchange” The Ticket Trust has intermittently had all ticket types – Early Bird Weekend, Student Weekend, Standard Weekend, Child and Campervan – for sale at its website for the last few days.
Tickets have sold quickly whenever they’ve been put up though, and those who still want tickets are advised to check back regularly, and also look for updates on The Ticket Trust Facebook page.
Those who wish to sell their tickets to the site at face value can do so here.
To sell tickets, people will have to register them on the site, then post them to the Trust.
Once verified, the ticket will then be made available for sale at face value, plus a 10% handling fee, and then sent out or held for collection at the box office.
Tickets bought for Bestival 2011 will now be box office collection only.
The Ticket Trust was set up by The Association Of Independent Festivals, which was co-founded by Bestival promoter Rob da Bank, who hopes that the Trust “can be a safe and secure place for honest ticket trading to take place.”
The Trust hopes to be open to “any festival or gig promoters who wish to enable their ticket buyers to sell unwanted tickets ethically” by later in the autumn.
