Bring Me The Horizon fail to create a ‘scene’ at Download Festival

With the clouds gathering overhead the metal magazine poster boys did little to warm the spirits of anyone out with their devotees in a disjointed set which was hampered by a patchy sound.

Sandwiched between a busy Children of Bodom set and eagerly anticipated Korn second-stage outing the scene heavyweights were reduced to repeated chants of “let’s go crazy” to get the relatively sparse audience active.

Not even an elaborate, glowing BMTH backdrop late in the set could prevent the showing from being an overall damp squib for all but the hardcore fans who lapped up every second.

Korn play penultimate billing on the second stage to Pendulum who headline the Friday night. Elsewhere Def Leppard play a controversial headline set on the main stage and rock veterans Danzig headline the Pepsi Max Stage.
