Brian Wilson has revealed on his website that he will definitely be playing on the Sunday at this summer's Glastonbury Festival.
It is believed he will play prior to Kylie on the Pyramid Stage, part of a deliberate attempt by Michael Eavis to make the Sunday programme more family-orientated for the thousands of residents from the local area who are issued day passes.
The former Beach Boy is expected to play songs from his old band’s repetoire, as well as numbers from his recent album ‘Smile’.
Wilson will also play a string of UK dates either side of the festival, which include a show as part of Liverpool Summer Pops season at King’s Dock Arena. They are:
London Hampton Court Palace (June 22)
Bristol Colston Hall (23)
Oxford New Theatre (24)
Glastonbury Festival (26)
Liverpool Summer Pops (27)
Glastonbury Festival 2005 takes place at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset, between 24-26 June. Coldplay and The White Stripes are hotly rumoured to be the other headliners. CLICK HERE for more info.
