Biffy Clyro given Virtual Festivals’ Critics’ Choice Award

Biffy Clyro won the Virtual Festivals' Critics' Choice Award at this year's UK Festival Awards.

Fan voted the Scottish band’s secret show at Glastonbury Festival as their favourite performance of the summer ahead of Billy Bragg, Heaven & Hell, Deadmau5, The Libertines and Mumford And Sons.

With a team of writers at most festivals around the country, the critics have between them seen almost everything which took place over the season and made it their mission to winkle out the best, from the under-the-radar stuff to the most incredible top billing sets.

With nominees hand-picked by the critics, it was down to the fans to have the final say.

The Best Overseas category is next to be handed out at the UK Festival Awards 2010 with Best Major, Best Medium-Sized and Best Small festival prizes to be announced later tonight.

A full list of winners will appear on Virtual Festivals after the show.
