Beyonce is set to play Glastonbury Festival 2011, according to one tabloid newspaper.
The Daily Star believe that the former Destiny’s Child singer will make her Worthy Farm debut ahead of Coldplay, who they think will headline the event.
A source told the paper: "After all the furore over Jay-Z playing Glasto last year, it went off brilliantly and he had a wonderful time.
"Beyonce was, of course, in the wings soaking up the atmosphere and told everyone how happy she was at Worthy Farm.
"Getting her to perform in her own right seems the ideal next step."
It could be a likely booking, but you have to question the source’s reliability as Jay-Z played Glastonbury back in 2008, not last year, and he/she doesn’t exactly confirm anything, more suggest that it could be a good idea.
As reported previously, Prince and U2 are rumoured to be headlining Glastonbury Festival 2011 when it returns to Somerset from 22-26 June.
Tickets are sold out, but Glastonbury registration has re-opened for those hoping to buy resale passes next Spring.
A limited number of tickets should go on sale around April or May next year.
National Express have been unveiled as one of the official coach partners of the Glastonbury Festival.
More festival-goers are travelling by coach to events because of its green credentials, it saves money on car parking and the coach drops ticket-holders closer to the campsite than any other mode of transport.
