Leaving a shaken and intimidated microphone at Isle Of Wight Festival 2011, Beady Eye left the vocal thousands in front of the stage begging for more and, even more importantly, their mark at one of the greatest festivals in the world.
Beady Eye, the darker hearted incarnation of Oasis, growled and rocked with the typical smashed in the face delivery that only Liam Gallagher can offer.
It was a storming set, keeping the drenched Islanders in high spirits throughout.
The younger Gallagher got huge cheers as he graced the stage donning a Union Jack jacket.
The cocky frontman questioned: “this is being filmed in 3G yeah? I wonder what these fucking bambinos look like in 3G?”, before giving his usual V salute.
The song ‘The Roller’ stuck out as the new sing-along favourite, while ‘Four Letter Word’ and ‘Sons of the Stage’ receiving glorious ovations which should silence any critic.
Kasabian will bring the Isle Of Wight Festival 2011 to a close.
